Mock CCY Tests - Caerwys - 23rd-25th July 2010

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to cancel the tests for this weekend.  However, we will let you know as soon as we have another date.   Sorry for any inconvenience.

The following are photos of some of our CCY members taking their mock CCY tests, and also the children receiving their awards on Sunday morning at our recent Fun Golf Weekend.

CCY News and information to date.

Fund raising activities are often seen at our weekend meets.   The CCY have their own 'account' and have their own fund raising
events.   Most money from their raffles and events go to their general funds which pays for games, crafts activities, medals, prizes, etc etc.

You may soon see that some events will be for a 'Helsinki fund'.  This is an exciting time for us as we are considering attending the FICC (Federation of International Camping and Caravan Clubs) rally in Helsinki during Easter 2011.  This is for ALL International Youth and their Leaders. 

The Youth have to fund themselves for these events and travel costs can be expensive.

The DA supports this rally and you will see that most DAs will give a contribution for coach/air fares, so this is what they are collecting for in plenty of time for next year.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our CCY Chairman Connor and CCY Secretary Rachel on passing their CCY tests recently.   We are all so proud of you.   Well done!!!!

This is our remaining activity for 2009, but don't worry, we have lots and lots of fun planned for 2010.

In December we will be holding our annual childrens Christmas party.  Details on fixtures page here

More CCY good news

CCY membership for 12-17 year olds will now be free from 1st April 2009.  It was previously priced at £5 a year.

CCY members aged 18-20 years who pass their Youth Test before their 18th birthday will still pay just £5 for their membership.

The subscription for Senior Youth members aged 21 to 29 years will be £18.

In addition, CCY members can now camp on UK Club Sites at child rates until the age of 21, so long as they've passed their Youth Test before their 18th birthday.
