Message from Sylv and Brian.
Hi everyone, we've just got back from
the National Volleyball meet at Radnor Bank, Cheshire, it was
rather disappointing as only 7 units turned up for this great
meet!!! We managed to get together a team of 5
(which should have been 6) but for the 5 that played a BIG
THANK YOU for some great entertainment. Well done.

A 'sort of'
photo competition
You may have noticed there
are lots of little Superlambananas appearing all over Liverpool
and the Wirral during the past couple of weeks. Here
are a couple I found, how many can you find? Don't forget
to send your photos in to us.

This one was hiding in the
gardens outside Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight.

This one was behind a
locked fence in Birkenhead Park

This little fella from
Birkenhead Park says he's the best super squirrelbanana
The next three were sent in by Katie
Punshon. Thanks Katie.

recently received from May and Graham Deakin.

Hi
Just to let everyone know the outcome of the charity
night Graham and I did for Zoes place. I raised £1428
plus Anfield on line raised approx £600 (they haven't
given me the exact amount yet as they paid it straight
into Zoes Place by paypall) on the internet so a grand
total of over £2000. Plus Woolworths in Bootle Strand
fund raise all year, and split the proceeds between 2
charities and have promised Zoes will be one of them so
hopefully that will raise a few bob for them.
One of L.S.W.L.D.A.
Christine Jones won third prize in the raffle 4 tickets
for Liverpool F.C. Museum & Tour.
There was over
60 fantastic prizes for a separate raffle on the night,
I won 3 of them, my son won another 2 and our own Ken
Thompson won 3, one of them being a colour portable T.V.
I don't think anyone except my nephew and the artist left
without a prize.
A great time
was had by all.
I would like to
thank everyone from our D.A. who supported us
by buying raffle tickets and especialy Sylvia and Brian
who sold tickets for us when we were not camping, also
all the Evertonians who bought tickets, it just shows
what a good sociable D.A we are. The money raised really
has gone to a good cause.
Once again a
very big thank you to all.
Graham and I
will see everyone soon on a field somewhere.

Any meets with 20 or less
pitches will now become booked meets with a £5 non-returnable
deposit - this is now the new DA policy.
I know it's only early but
we are now collecting names for our children's Christmas party
in November at Lower Whitley. Could you please
either pass names and ages of children attending to any
Committee Member or email us at our usual email address?
As is usual, we are asked not to arrive on site on the Friday
before 2pm. Thanks

Congratulations
must also go to fellow DA
members Peter and Barbara Sanders on being awarded 5 van status
on their newly opened camp site at their home at Llanfair Bach, Penrhos Beach Road, Holyhead in Anglesey (Postcode LL65 2PR).
They opened on Friday 23rd May, and were instantly fully booked
over that weekend!!!!! (I hear they are much cheaper
than their neighbouring camp sites!!)
They welcome all units, be it tents, caravans or motorhomes and
have electric hook up points for all. They say they
are very close to beautiful beaches and there are also shops
nearby, and are also a great place to stay if you are planning a
trip to Ireland, being close to the ferry ports.
Booking is advisable
judging by their success so far, contact numbers are 01407
764104 or mobile 07738 159249

URGENTLY NEEDED - Kind
hearted members to help take marquees and other items out to our
meets. You don't have to take a whole marquee, just
a little bit of help would be appreciated.
