St Georges Day 18th - 20th April
Stewards:  Brian and Sylv
Units:  63

The weather for the whole weekend was icy, freezing with Arctic winds, but with no rain, thank goodness.

63 units, a record for our St Georges Day meet, turned out to enjoy a fabulous weekend.  I must thank Nicky our sites secretary/marshall for her hard work siting these 63 units around a football pitch without leaving a mark on it.  Well done.

Friday evening being so cold, we decided to go in the hall and have a 'free and easy' get together.

Our tombola team Lesley, Ian, Katie, Rachel and Connor opened our tombola which was enjoyed over the entire weekend, thanks to you all.  I know there was a lot of home work put into it!!!!  Also thanks to all who donated prizes, our DA has not put on our own tombola stall before, and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Saturday games on the field was lots of fun with jousting, stocks, whack the ball, scoring castles and obstacle races, the children were out in the freezing cold wind but I think most of the adults were hiding in their caravans - I don't blame you!

Saturday evening, what can I say?  FABULOUS!!!! The room was decorated with our St Georges Day theme and so many of you dressed up in your red and white gear, even the childrens faces were painted red and white (thanks to Mandy).

The roof was raised with our singing along to Patriotic songs.  Our brilliant DJ Les did a fabulous job entertaining us all once again.

Brian and I would like to thank everyone for their help, a lot of hard work goes into the organisation of this weekend and when members leave for home and say they have had a good weekend that's what makes it all worthwhile.

Brian and Sylv

You will find lots of photos from this weekend on our St Georges Day page.
