Grand National Meet - 11th-15th
April 2012
The following are a selection of photos taken by Les French and myself.

We
shouldn't laugh really, at least Julie-Anne made it to site - that's her dad
Martin
and helpers pushing her the rest of the way!!!

Our
very own Grand National course waiting for the runners to line up. Many
thanks
to Peter for all his hard work making this brilliant game for us.

The start of our own Grand National - the runners and horses doing their lap of honour.

Stuart made a great racing commentator and is booked again for next year.

......and first past the winning post was Silver Birch

Special thanks must go to Geoff and Val
Burnham, long standing members, for bringing
along two tellies and giant aerial for us to watch the race in the comfort of
our marquee.

Setting
everything up. Notice the first aid kit next to the telly ready for the
horses and riders
incase we had any accidents - infact later on in the day, after the race, poor
Red Rum fell
and suffered a broken neck.

Waiting for the big race to start.

A frosty start to a glorious Sunday on site

I won the competition for anyone who
spotted Neil without a drink in his hand :-))
(The fact Steve's holding it has nothing to do with me - really!!!!!!!!)

It was a little bit cool in the marquee on Saturday night but that didn't spoil our fun!!!

Roy even took his hat off to make it look
like it was lovely and warm, sorry Roy,
the big thick gloves are a dead give-away I'm afraid!!!

We've never had so much fun watching the Grand National before. Can't wait till next year!!!

Our Grand National winner 2012!!!
