Hi Jan,

 

Sorry for not being in touch sooner but just after we got back from Ruthin the engine blew up and left me with a car that was only worth scrap value. Believe me after everything else that went wrong ................................

 

I'm better now, one cars gone and another has arrived, hopefully Rita's hoist will be in the new one by this weekend and we can look forward to our next rally.

 

Please give everyone our thanks for all the help and offers of help we received at Ruthin, we did enjoy it despite the problems.

The following letter was passed to Sylv during Easter weekend for inclusion on the website.

Ever since I first started camping with this DA,  I have had so much fun.  I have made lots of new friends like Katie, Chris, Joanne, Connor, Jake, Zoey, Heather, Michaela, Shelby, Matthew, Hannah, Jaymi, Lisa and Belle.   There have been lots of fun meets and lots of new people.

Our first meet was Ellesmere, August Bank Holiday 2007, we felt that we were made very welcome not only by the CCY and CCJ but all the adults too.  We feel that we can go to any of the adults for help or with a problem.  

We would like to thank Alan and Sylv for welcoming us into the CCY and CCJ, although Sylv has retired as CCY and CCJ leader, we hope that she won't mind us asking for advice!!!!

Finally, on behalf of my sister and I, I would like to thank everyone in Liverpool and South West Lancs DA, and look forward to may more great meets!!

The following appeal was sent in by one of our members,  Graham Deakin, who is organising a charity night later on this year in aid of a local children's hospice, Zoe's Place.    Graham is a member of The Camping and Caravanning Club and our DA, who is organising this event as an individual and is not representing the Club or the DA.

Hello, just to let you know;
 
May and I, are running a bit charity night for Zoe's Place Childrens Hospice;
 
Its at The Sandon ( by the kop ) Acorn suite, Oakfield Road;
on the Sat. 14th June 2008 at 7.30pm till 1am.
There will be a disco, live acts, and a raffle on the night, with lots and lots of very good prizes.
The tickets are only £6.00 each including a buffet, so there very cheap.
We are hoping to get a football player down to draw the raffle, I will let to know more.
If you can make it, we have just got the tickets and I think there going to sell fast, please let me know, it going to be a great night.
 
We are also running a big raffle, which these tickets will be sold to everyone and anybody.
Here are the prizes;
1st prize- Michael Owen signed Liverpool Shirt;
2nd prize- Stevan Gerrard signed Liverpool Shirt;
3rd prize- 4 tickets for the Liverpool F.C. Museum and tour;
4th prize- New Liverpool F.C. DVD.
 
Tickets are only £1.00 each or a book of 6 for £5.00.
All prizes will be posted to the winners.
I know there are some Everton fans out there, but the last Owen signed Liverpool shirt
went for over £400 on e-bay, so there is a few bob worth of prizes.
 
So if you cant make it on the night, or even if you can make it, please buy some raffle tickets, every penny we get goes to Zoe,s Place.
