Rally   Ruthin 90th Birthday Celebration Rally - 28th April - 2nd May 2010

Below are a selection of photos from our fabulous 5 day birthday meet.  Thanks to
everyone for helping, joining in the fun and making this such a fabulous meet, where
over 100 units enjoyed the fun.

We had three marquees this weekend, which were packed to overflowing.   Here are some
of us building them.

Our Club Chairman Keith Jackson and wife Janet joined us this weekend, hopefully they enjoyed
our company as much as we enjoyed theirs.  Below is a plaque they presented to the DA to raise funds
showing all our Club badges from start to the present day.  I dragged poor Phil from C4U round every
single van one afternoon selling the raffle tickets, after asking if he had 10 minutes to spare.  Below is the fabulous
plaque which nearly everyone on site wanted to win.

Our very lucky winner Martin being presented with his plaque.

We held our own 'street party' LSWLDA style to help celebrate the Royal Wedding on the Friday.
What a spread, enjoyed by nearly everyone on site.

The Royal Ladies Camilla and Kate even called in to help us celebrate.

"Mum, I want to join in too!!" one of many lambs watching our festivities.

Fun in the marquees in the evening.

Playing on our 'Ruthin Swing' built by Uncle George.

Relaxing on yet another sunny afternoon.

There were many flags flying this weekend, a small selection of which are shown below.

The on-site stream made a perfect swimming pool for our younger members in the very hot weather
which Uncle Les had ordered for us.

Our very well attended coffee morning on Sunday morning.

Trust Bungle to find one of these!!!!!!

Some of the fabulous prizes on our raffle table, all with the theme of the 1920's.

Present and past Committee Members joining in the fun.

Our CCY members and parents held a fantastic carnival, all the games were played in the 1920's and recreated here, where they raised lots of much needed funds for our CCY and CCJ activities.

This was a water game enjoyed by many in the 1920's.   Les described what he wanted
and Jimmy made it for us.  Well done Jimmy, you're a marvel, and it was enjoyed by many.

Most of us dressed up in 1920's fashion on Saturday evening, below are some of the
fabulous creations.  Well done everyone.

audience like us!!!!!!!!!!

Our younger members put on a fabulous Charlston display, all taught by Auntie June
over the weekend.   What stars!

Uncle Les set a Chairman's Challenge for this weekend.  Unfortunately some of us missed
it - however, here are some of the fabulous missing entries ......

Martin's kite almost made it into the air on Monday morning, here's him practicing

This is the intrepid young man whose home made kite out of string, wood and paper beat our Chairman's
kite in the challenge.   He gets to keep the trophy for a whole year.  Well done!!
